My role is to provide support, tools, and fresh perspectives to help you navigate challenges and build meaningful connections. I value diverse perspectives and bring an open, nonjudgmental presence to therapy, using evidence-based approaches to foster understanding and lasting change.

As your therapist, I believe that you are the expert on you. I am here to support you on your journey with tools and resources, and—when appropriate—alternative perspectives that support you living the life you want.

Building a trusting relationship in therapy is essential for starting our work together. I aim to foster a space of warmth, openness, and calm where being vulnerable feels natural. I enjoy working with clients to provide a time and space to slow down and explore their emotions, values, experiences, perspectives, and identities. Using a collaborative approach, I will work with you to identify your values and strengths that can be utilized to cope, address your concerns, and heal.

Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked in international development where I engaged and lived with communities of diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. My experiences abroad have shaped my worldview by highlighting the beauty of diverse perspectives and the resiliency of the human spirit. I believe this appreciation for diversity informs my approach to therapy and facilitates connections with clients.

In my work with individuals, I utilize research-grounded therapies including Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with principles from Existential Therapy. I believe that our connection with others and following our values are foundational to living a fulfilling life.

I enjoy working with couples to support meaningful and supportive partnerships. This includes discovering patterns in their interactions that are leading to conflict to create new ways of relating, understanding, and communicating with each other. I use principles from Emotional Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method for couples work.
